1. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the service, we may process your name or display name, email address, account identifiers, authentication/security events, language preference, workshop progress, mission completion, community content, support messages, transaction references and limited technical information such as browser/device data and security logs.

2. Payment information

Payments are processed through Stripe. The Next Side does not directly store your full payment-card number. Stripe may process payment, fraud-prevention and transaction information under its own privacy terms.

3. Why we use information

We use personal data to create and secure accounts, deliver paid access, remember preferences and progress, process purchases, provide support, moderate community features, prevent abuse, comply with legal/accounting obligations and improve the product where permitted.

4. Legal bases

Depending on the activity, we rely on performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and consent where the law requires it, such as for certain non-essential cookies or marketing.

5. Service providers

We use service providers to operate the platform, including Supabase for database/authentication services, Stripe for payments, Vercel for web hosting/deployment, and email/service providers used for account or support communications. These providers may process data on our behalf or as independent controllers for their own services.

6. International transfers

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used by us or our providers for international data transfers.

7. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing your account and access, resolving disputes, security, tax/accounting and legal obligations. Retention periods can vary by data type.

8. Your rights

9. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You may also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

10. Cookies and local storage

We may use essential browser storage to keep you signed in, remember language preferences and operate core functionality. We will not intentionally activate non-essential analytics/advertising cookies without the consent required by applicable law.

11. Children

The Next Side is not intended for children under 18 unless we explicitly provide a suitable supervised offering in the future.
